Dr. Ray Highsmith, DC moved from Southern California to the Bay Area in 2007 to attend UC Berkeley. He received a degree in Genetics and Plant Biology and minored in Human Nutrition. His previous career was an Information Technology Administrator where he supported healthcare, education and renewable energy companies. This passion for science, health and technology is what led him to obtain a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life West Chiropractic College in 2019.

The patients that Dr. Ray specializes in are children, older adults and persons with neurological disorders, misdiagnosed cases, high blood pressure and previous injuries.

Dr. Ray’s techniques include:

• Activator - a hand held device use to give precision adjustments
• Advanced Care for the Physically Compromised - those persons with injuries or abnormalities
• Network Spinal Analysis - a whole body analysis, which aims to increase ease of breath and reducing spinal tensions in the nervous system
• Sacro-Occiptial Technique - which looks at the skull and tail bone interactions
• Webster In-Utero Constraint Technique - aims to level the hips

In his spare time, he enjoys diving, archery, working on cars and spending time with his daughters, family and friends. He also donates time to volunteer chiropractic care for pets. He has a Russian Blue cat of 14 years he adores and takes to the beach and camping trips.
